Challenge

The main challenge in the rental process was the lack of trust between landlords and tenants. Property owners had no reliable way to verify a person’s identity or financial background. Existing checks were inconsistent – documents were reviewed manually, and financial credibility was often based on incomplete information. This made the process slow, unreliable, and left landlords exposed to fraud and problematic tenants. On top of that, sensitive personal data had to be stored securely and in line with legal requirements, which was another pain point.

Solution

Veri1 was designed to solve these problems by integrating all key checks in one place. Through iDenfy, the app scans and validates identity documents (ID cards, passports, driver’s licenses), uses OCR to read data automatically, and detects fraud or manipulation. It also performs biometric verification – a real-time selfie compared with the document photo – which prevents identity theft or the use of fake photos and videos. On the financial side, Veri1 connects with Equifax to assess creditworthiness: it checks credit history, looks for debts in relevant databases, and generates a credit score report. Together, these two integrations give landlords a complete picture: confirming that the tenant is a real person and showing whether they are financially reliable. The whole process happens online, quickly and transparently, with personal data stored and removed according to legal standards.

Results

Veri1 makes the rental process safer, faster, and more consistent. For landlords, it reduces the risk of renting to dishonest tenants. For tenants, it builds trust by providing a fair and transparent process. The platform standardizes and automates verification, speeds up signing rental agreements, and ensures that personal data is fully protected.
