Challenge

GeeCON, one of the leading Java and JVM conferences in the CEE region, needed an engaging and efficient digital solution to enhance the event experience. The organizers sought a tool that would allow attendees to interact with the conference agenda, rate sessions, and provide real-time feedback to speakers and organizers. Additionally, the solution had to support speaker profiles, sponsor information, and push notifications, ensuring attendees stayed informed throughout the event. The main challenge was to develop a fully functional and user-friendly app that could be seamlessly integrated into the event within a limited development timeframe while maintaining a smooth and reliable user experience across different devices.

Solution

To address these challenges, we leveraged Evapp CMS, our custom event management tool, which allowed us to adapt an existing framework to meet GeeCON’s specific needs. This approach significantly reduced development time, enabling us to deliver a fully operational application in just a few days. The app provides an intuitive interface that allows users to browse the agenda, mark favorite sessions, and rate lectures, ensuring seamless interaction with the conference content. The real-time feedback collection system helps organizers improve session quality and invite the most well-received speakers for future editions. Additionally, the app delivers push notifications, ensuring that participants remain up to date with important announcements. Available on tablets, iOS, and Android, the GeeCON app serves as a comprehensive conference tool, enhancing attendee engagement while simplifying event management.

Available on iOS, Android, and tablets, the app streamlines the conference experience for both organizers and attendees.
